STRATEGI MANAJEMEN PESANTREN DALAM MEMPERTAHANKAN EKSISTENSI PESANTREN TRADISIONAL (STUDI DI PONDOK PESANTREN AL-MAAHADUL ISLAMI PATTANI, THAILAND)

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis strategi manajemen pesantren tradisional dalam mempertahankan eksistensinya di tengah tantangan modernisasi pendidikan Islam. Penelitian dilakukan di Pondok Pesantren Al-Maahadul Islami Pattani, Thailand, sebagai representasi pesantren tradisional di wilayah minoritas Muslim. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara mendalam, dan studi dokumentasi. Metodologi penelitian ini menggunakan analisis data dilakukan melalui reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa eksistensi pesantren dipertahankan melalui penguatan kepemimpinan kiai, pelestarian tradisi keilmuan kitab kuning, pengelolaan kelembagaan berbasis nilai, serta dukungan masyarakat dan alumni. Faktor penghambat berupa keterbatasan sarana prasarana dan tantangan lingkungan dapat diatasi melalui manajemen adaptif dan pengelolaan sumber daya secara kolektif. Penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa pesantren tradisional tetap relevan dan berkelanjutan apabila mampu menjaga nilai-nilai dasar sambil melakukan adaptasi kontekstual.
