Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kontribusi kegiatan ekstrakurikuler pencak silat dalam membentuk karakter mandiri siswa di SMP Islam Al Barokah Bogor. Fokus penelitian ini terletak pada empat dimensi kemandirian menurut Havig hurst, yaitu kemandirian emosional, sosial, intelektual, dan ekonomi. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif studi kasus, data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara mendalam, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kegiatan pencak silat memberikan ruang pembentukan karakter melalui pembiasaan nilai-nilai seperti kedisiplinan, tanggung jawab, dan ketangguhan. Siswa menunjukkan kemampuan mengelola emosi saat latihan, mempersiapkan perlengkapan secara mandiri, aktif mengambil keputusan, dan mampu bekerja sama dengan teman. Proses ini juga selaras dengan konsep moral knowing, feeling, and action dari Thomas Lickona. Dengan demikian, pencak silat terbukti menjadi wahana pendidikan karakter yang mendukung dimensi “mandiri” dalam Profil Pelajar Pancasila.
