Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui penerapan kepemimpinan transformasional dalam meningkatkan profesionalisme guru di SMP Islam Miftahul Huda. Kepala sekolah memiliki pengaruh besar terhadap maju mundurnya suatu lembaga sekolah. Maju mundurnya suatu sekolah ditentukan oleh profesioanalisme guru dalam menjalankan tugasnya. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kepala sekolah SMP Islam Miftahul Huda menerapkan kepemimpinan transformasional dengan cara memberikan motivasi dan inspirasi kepada guru dama mencapai tujuan organisasi, memberikan bimbingan dan dukungan kepada guru dalam mengatasi berbagai permasalahan yang dihadapi, menciptakan budaya dan iklim kerja yang positif dan suportif antar guru, mendukung guru untuk terus belajar dan berkembang. Penerapan kepemimpinan transformasional terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan profesionalisme guru di SMP Islam Miftahul Huda. Strategi kepala sekolah dalam meningkatkan profesionalisme di SMP Islam Miftahul Huda terdiri dari 1) Melakukan coaching; 2) Melakukan pendekatan pribadi; 3) Mengikutsertakan guru dalam pelatihan; dan 4) Pemberian reward.
