ANALISIS BUDAYA LITERASI DALAM MENINGKATKAN KEMAMPUAN BERPIKIR KRITIS SISWA DI SMPN 3 GUNUNG PUTRI

Rendahnya kemampuan literasi membaca siswa Indonesia berdasarkan PISA 2022 menunjukkan tantangan serius bagi sistem pendidikan. Literasi sekolah menjadi pondasi penting untuk menumbuhkan keterampilan abad ke-21, khususnya berpikir kritis. Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan implementasi budaya literasi di SMPN 3 Gunung Putri dan menganalisis peran literasi sekolah dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa. Metode yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi, melibatkan kepala sekolah, wakil kepala bidang kurikulum, pembina literasi, serta lima siswa. Hasil menunjukkan budaya literasi didukung kebijakan nasional dan internal sekolah, diperkuat peran kepala sekolah, guru, dan pembina literasi. Program literasi meningkatkan minat baca, melatih keterampilan menulis, dan menumbuhkan keberanian siswa berpendapat. Literasi juga mendorong kemampuan berpikir kritis, meskipun terkendala keterbatasan waktu, jumlah siswa yang besar, dan fasilitas baca yang minim. Kesimpulannya, budaya literasi bukan sekadar kegiatan rutin, tetapi strategi kunci menyiapkan siswa menghadapi tantangan abad ke-21, dengan kepala sekolah berperan penting sebagai pengawas dan fasilitator program.
