INCREASING THE INCOME FARMER GROUPS THROUGH HH1 MODEL REFINERY AND PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT DOWNSTREAM ESSENTIAL OILS

Background - Bojongmurni Village produces various essential oil crops, including cloves, nutmeg, citronella,
ginger, patchouli, and rosemary. The main issue faced by Bojongmurni Village is the lack of distillation equipment
for essential oils on a production scale, resulting in farmers selling their essential oil plants in raw material form.
Additionally, the skills and experience of the community group in mastering Appropriate Technology (TTG),
especially in the processing of essential oil plants and their downstream products, are still limited
Purpose - .The goal of this activity is to produce the HH1 model essential oil distillation equipment for production
scale and to generate various downstream products from essential oils. Therefore, this program is urgent to
implement as it provides added value to the essential oil plants produced in the region
methodology - The implementation of the community service program uses a Community Development
approach, which focuses on strengthening capacity, independence, and long-term welfare for the group or
community
Findings - This community development program has successfully improved the skill scores of members of the Mitra Poktan Sabar Tani Muda and KTH Sadar Tani Muda groups. The results show that this activity has
significantly improved members' skills in areas such as business management, administration, finance, and
taxation
Originality - knowledge and understanding of essential oil plant cultivation, knowledge and understanding of essential oil processing, IT knowledge, and product and service promotion and marketing. The skill scores
increased from 1 (low) to 3 (moderate). Meanwhile, income levels increased from a score of 3 (moderate) to a score of 4 (good).
