STRATEGY FOR STRENGTHENING FOOD SECURITY THROUGH SECTORIZATION OF MAGOT CULTIVATION, VILLAGE STAR TRANSFORMATION, AND PRODUCT INNOVATION IN TANGKIL VILLAGE, BOGOR DISTRICT

Abstract

Background - Tangkil Village has development potential in the agricultural, livestock, fisheries, tourism, and
education sectors. Most of the population produces chilies, cucumbers, peanuts, rice, goldfish, catfish, free-range chickens, and boiler chickens, which can be a source of livelihood for the community. The area of agricultural land
for food crops this year is 163 Ha, and the cultivation of free-range chickens, boiler chickens, catfish, and goldfish is managed by a joint fisheries group and a local agricultural joint group, which has 1,000 free-range chickens and four fish ponds.
Purpose - To develop, build, and provide progress in village sustainability with the results obtained in the form of increasing human resources by increasing the target group's knowledge in solving existing problems such as
utilizing waste, understanding how to handle post-harvest in the fields of agriculture, fisheries, animal husbandry and superior potential in youth
methodology - Further development regarding maggot cultivation will be made by proposing draft village
regulations and commitments between residents. We also want to motivate the combined agriculture and fisheries group and residents through the program's sustainability, which is being implemented by increasing the number of
broader targets through spreading interactions with RWs that are not yet involved and surrounding villages as well
as creating the transformation of superior village stars who can help in solving development problems, especially
the potential progress of teenagers in the current era.
Findings - The development of maggot cultivation is a continuation of efforts to preserve the environment by decomposing organic waste to produce organic fertilizer and maggots as an alternative protein-rich feed by creating many derivative products in three sectors. The development of a follow-up maggot cultivation program has quite good prospects, so adding a wider number of targets with other RWs that still need to be involved and additional cooperation partners whose potential can increase income is necessary. Forming a millennial youth
village transformation will create intelligent, creative, and innovative teenagers who can support carrying out activities.
Originality - Improvement for Social and Economy of Village Comunity
