Abstract

Background - In reducing waste, it is necessary to recycle waste into other products. The development of waste
management skills can have an impact on many aspects of life, such as carefully selecting waste and reusing it to
improve the local economy. One alternative to the use of plastic waste is recycling activities by using plastic waste
as raw materials. This article will look at how to process plastic waste into products with high economic value in
the form of ROSTIK (Plastic Breezeblock) and PAVINGSTIK (Plastic Paving) and open job vacancies for residents
of Bogor City, especially in Katulampa Village. The method used in this program is to use the 3R concept
(Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle), which is an important approach in waste management that aims to reduce
negative impacts on the environment. The conclusion in this article refers to the processing of plastic waste which
aims to be made into a product in the form of ROSTIK and PAVINGSTIK that can be traded in the general public,
especially in the city of Bogor.

Purpose - The aim of managing the waste problem is so that waste continues to decrease, this is expected to be
in line with government programs

methodology - The implementation of this program was carried out on Jl. Mutiara Bogor Raya No.Blok E,
RT.06/RW.17, Katulampa, Kec. This program is carried out from April to the end of October 2024. The program
point is carried out by educating directly in Katulampa village about the importance of waste treatment for waste to
reduce waste that has not been decomposed. The first stage that must be done is to look at the situation and
conditions in the Katulampa village environment due to the amount of waste in the environment and identify the
problems that arise. The implementation method used in this activity to reduce plastic waste is by utilizing
inorganic waste for the manufacture of ROSTIK and PAVINGSTIK. Before the implementation of these activities, it
is necessary to collaborate with TPST Katulampa about the importance of plastic waste processing to the
community.

Findings - This socialization activity is a form of concern for the community about how important it is to use the
3R concept (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle). Plastic waste is one of the problems that must be dealt with quickly
because there is no landfill in Katulampa, so the villagers throw garbage in the sewers when it rains, the garbage
overflows and pollutes the streets. So, one of the most important solutions is to recycle plastic waste into the main
material for making ROSTIK and PAVINGSTIK. Before making ROSTIK and PAVINGSTIK that must be prepared
are: 1. Sorting plastic waste that wants to be recycled 2. Preparing tools and materials, including: • Printing •
Plastic waste • Plastic shredding machine • Sand • Cement • Water

Originality - The original value of this study lies in its innovative approach to waste management by developing
high-value products, namely ROSTIK (Plastic Breezeblock) and PAVINGSTIK (Plastic Paving), derived from
plastic waste. This initiative not only addresses environmental concerns through the implementation of the 3R
(Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) concept but also contributes to the local economy by creating marketable products and
job opportunities for residents in Katulampa Village, Bogor City
