DEVELOPMENT OF A WEB-BASED INFORMATION SYSTEM FOR BINA TAUHID STUDENTS' ISLAMIC BOARDING SCHOOL (PPMABIT) USING THE WATERFALL METHOD

Abstract

Background - Pondok Pesantren Mahasiswa Bina Tauhid (PPMABIT) Universitas Djuanda plays a strategic role
in forming student with superior character and integrity, in line with the 21 Tauhid Character Values (NKT).
Informations management in the pesantren is still manual, affecting operational efficiency and data accessibility.
Purpose - To develop a web-based information system that integrates administrative processes, information
dissemination, and management, aiming to enhance efficiency and organization within PPMABIT.
methodology - The research user the waterfall model for system development, involving stages such as
requirement analysis, system design, implementation, and testing. The system is built using HTML, CSS, and
JavaScript for the frontend, and MySQL for the database.
Findings - The developed web-based information system significantly improves data management efficiency by
up to 80% making it easier for users, including students, administrators, and campus officials, to access
information
Originality - The reseach provides an innovative solution for the digital transformation of Islamic boarding
schools, particulary in managing administrative tasks and improving communication within the pesantren.
