Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi dengan Kurikulum yang dilaksanakan di kelas 1 yaitu difokuskan dalam kemampuan membaca, menulis, dan berhitung agar siswa kelas 1 sekolah dasar wittaya panya school thailand sudah mampu membaca, menulis, dan berhitung yang baik. Studi ini bertujuan untuk meneliti Implementasi Membaca, Menulis dan Berhitung (Calistung) Di Kelas 1 Sekolah Dasar Witaya Panya School Thailand. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah studi kasus. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kualitatif deskriptif pengumpulan data untuk menguji hipotesis atau menjawab pertanyaan tentang status terakhir subjek penelitian. Adapun instrumen penelitiannya adalah wawancara dan dokumentasi. Sumber data penelitian ini adalah hasil wawancara dari kepala sekolah wali kelas 1 A dan wali kelas 1 B. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa karakter siswa yang berbeda-beda di antaranya ada siswa yang tidak berbakat, pemalas dan kurangnya semangat belajar. Kemudian tantangan guru harus memastikan siswa bisa membaca, menulis, dan berhitung, mencari variasi dalam mengajar serta mengulas kembali sampai ada hasil yang memuaskan.
