Abstract

Background - Islamic education must be able to contribute to efforts to overcome the problems that are currently
plaguing this nation, especially in order to anticipate the negative impacts caused by the development of science
and technology. Thus, in order for progress in the field of technology and science to provide many benefits and
minimize harm (negative impacts), it is necessary to have integration between science and religious education.
Purpose - This research aims to uncover the problems and provide solution strategies.Integration of Islamic
Education and Science as an effort to improve the quality of Islamic Religious Education learning in Educational
Institutions.
methodology - This research is a type of library research with a qualitative approach, namely a study that uses a
method to obtain information data through library studies. Researchers collect data from various library sources.
After finding the source, the author verifies the source found and then analyzes it using content analysis.
Findings - The development of an integration model of Islamic Education and Science can be done gradually
through three things, namely: mapping scientific and Islamic concepts, combining scientific and Islamic concepts,
and making the Qur'an and Hadith as the guardians of every scientific work. It is difficult indeed, but it is not
impossible to do. There needs to be commitment, hard work, and high dedication from all education stakeholders.
Originality - This research contributes to identifying problems and uncovering solutions in the integration of
Islamic Religious Education Learning and science in schools
