Abstract

Background - The duck seed assistance program is a government program provided to breeders through the
Ciawi-Bogor Poultry and Various Livestock Instrument Standard Testing Center (Bpsi-Uat).
Purpose - This research aims to determine the effectiveness of the duck seed assistance program's distribution in
accelerating the livestock industry's growth to increase the production of duck eggs and meat in Indonesia.
methodology - The research method uses a qualitative method based on an approach focusing more on an indepth understanding of the phenomenon being studied. Data collection through interviews, participant
observation, or analysis of relevant documents and materials. The unit of analysis is based on data reduction,
data presentation, and verification/conclusion.
Findings - The research results show a need to increase effectiveness in the distribution of duck seed aid
because the availability of superior quality duck seed in the community is minimal. In contrast, the demand for the
supply of duck seed continues to increase from time to time. The distribution of superior livestock duck seeds in
the community must be carried out evenly to increase the prominent livestock population and the production
produced for community welfare. Government involvement is essential because it impacts superior seeds' mass
multiplication and distribution.
Originality - The duck assistance program is effective in accelerating the growth of the livestock industry at BPSIUAT Ciawi-Bogor. This is supported by being based on the measurement of effectiveness theory so that there is a
harmonious understanding of the program between providers of duck seed aid with the management of Balitnak
and farmers in carrying out the management of superior duck seed aid; there is a suitable target in the distribution
of the duck seed aid program to breeders with a cooperative system.
