Determinants of Teacher Performance at The Center of Excellence Vocational School (SMK PK): Bibliometric Analysis

Background - Teacher problems in vocational schools tend to be less addressed in recent years and therefore
more studies in this area are still in need of further research. In addition, vocational schoolteachers’ performance
needs to be enhanced optimum learning outcome.
Purpose - This research aims to explore the determinants of teacher performance at the Center for Excellence
Vocational School (SMK PK) based on a bibliometric analysis.
methodology - The research was designed a bibliometric research design analysis which is often associated or
categorized as one of meta-analysis studies. With the current research design, the researchers employed a
secondary quantitative research designs since the data used were published scientific publications such as journal
articles, books, proceedings, etc. The research procedure was carried out in three stages, namely: data collection
stage and data selection stage in Publish or Perish Software, and then the analysis stage by using the VOS
viewer application.
Findings - The network visualization indicated that there were still few research topics on teacher education,
coaching, and partnerships. The visualization overlay also suggests that the topic of teacher performance is still
rarely associated with the topics: mentor, transformative leadership, organizational performance, innovation, and
partnership. In addition, the density visualization analysis also indicates that mentor, transformative leadership, job
performance, and organizational have also been rarely researched. The Research result further suggests that
teacher performance was related to mentor variables, transformative leadership, organizational performance,
innovation, and partnership.
Originality - Exploration of determinants of teacher performance in vocational schools based on a bibliometric
study.
