THE EFFECT OF PRODUCTIVE ZAKAT FUND UTILIZATION OF DESA TANI PROGRAMME ON MUSTAHIK'S WELFARE FROM THE MAQASHID SYARIAH PERSPECTIVE

Abstract

Background - Zakat is the basis of the Islamic economic system. Good zakat management starts from collecting or distributing with the aim of improving the economy and the welfare of mustahik. Mustahik welfare is not only in the material aspect but also in the spiritual aspect.
Purpose - This study aims to determine the effect of productive utilization of zakat funds on improving the welfare of mustahik in the perspective of maqashid sharia at the level of daruriyah, hajiyyah and tahsiniyah.
methodology - The instruments of this research are interviews and questionnaires distributed to 53 mustahiks of Desa Tani programme as samples in the study. The data analysis used in the study was PLS (Partial Least Squares) with the help of smartPLS 4.0.
Findings - The results showed that the utilization of productive zakat funds as measured by training, mentoring and capital variables had an effect on the welfare of mustahik at the daruriyah, hajiyaah and tahsniyah levels.
