Abstract

Background: Tourism contributes to the country's foreign exchange earnings. Sustainable development must
be improved to have a real impact on the development of the economy and the welfare of the nation. Including
the development of tourist villages.

Purpose: This study aims to determine the impact of tourism village development on socio-cultural, economic,
and environmental aspects.

Methodology: The research is quantitative, with a descriptive verification approach. Sample determination uses
non-probability sampling techniques. A sample of 100 respondents consisting of business actors, tourism village
managers, village youth and other members of the general public. Data were collected through in-depth
interviews, questionnaires, and observations and processed and analyzed using different tests.

Results: The study found differences between before and after the development of tourist villages. Economic,
social, cultural, and environmental aspects increased compared to before and after the development of tourist
villages.
