Abstract

Background: Article 27 paragraph (2) of the 1945 Constitution stipulates that: "Every citizen has the right to work and a decent living for humanity. The meaning of this article gives hope to everyone that the state has the authority to create jobs for all Indonesian citizens. Getting a good job is the hope for everyone because from working they will get a salary or wages.

Purpose: The aim of good wages is to be given according to the abilities and contributions of workers for services they have provided to the company with the hope of becoming a motivation to improve the performance of workers and the company so that decent wages will be a guarantee for the development of the company's progress.

Methodology: This research is a type of normative juridical research, with a statutory regulatory approach that regulates decent wages for workers, the legal materials used are the 1945 Constitution, the Employment Law, and other relevant regulations.

Finding: Companies that pay attention to work relations and provide a decent wage payment system in company activities will create welfare for workers and have a positive impact on motivation in carrying out work activities.

Limitation: Research limitations, this research is generally classified as labor law research, but specifically this research discusses a decent wage payment system for workers to improve workers' welfare.
