DEVELOPING ECONOMIC DIGITALIZATION OF ISLAMIC BOARDING SCHOOLS BASED ON BIBLIOMETRIC ANALYSIS

Background - Islamic boarding schools are the oldest Islamic educational institutions in Indonesia. Apart from
being a center of education, boarding schools are also often a center for economic empowerment of the
surrounding community by fulfilling various community-based economic activities. In the era of the industrial
revolution 4.0 towards 5.0, the development of digital technology requires adaptation and transformation in various
sectors, one of which is the economic management of Islamic boarding schools.
Purpose - the purpose of this study is to determine and analyze scientific literature with bibliometric analysis
related to the main topics, sources and most cited articles in Indonesia, understand intellectual and social
conceptual issues that discuss the development of economic digitalization in Islamic boarding schools.
methodology - This research uses Google Schoolar indexed journal articles published using the Publish and
Perish search engine version 8.9 in 2014-2024. The stages of this research are by searching for keywords for the
digitalization of the boarding school economy with publish and perish software in the form of RIS files and
analyzing using Vosviewer software version 16.
Findings - These results show that the publication of research results from 2016-2024 experienced fluctuating
growth, the increase in articles occurred starting from 2021-2023. Through Vosviewer visualization, the
development map of the digitalization research of boarding schools is divided into 10 clusters of 504 Links with a
total strength of 884. Opportunities for further research according to Vosviewer analysis are business sector
community santri, society and digital economy influnce.
